Regarding YouTube Copyright Notifications Please don't be concerned if you receive a YouTube copyright notification relating to one of your DivisionBass Digital Records releases from [Merlin] Symphonic Distribution. These notifications are generally part of our distributor's YouTube rights-management and content-identification system. They do not necessarily mean that your video has received a formal copyright strike or that your YouTube account is in trouble. Our distributor may identify and claim DivisionBass Digital releases on YouTube for rights management, usage tracking, and royalty collection. In some cases, advertisements may also be placed on videos containing our music. Where applicable, this can help generate royalties from the use of your music. If you receive a notification and are unsure about what it means, or believe there may be an issue with a claim, please contact us before taking any action and we'll be happy to help clarify the situation. If you have any questions regarding YouTube claims or copyright notifications, please don't hesitate to contact us.

DIGITAL DOWNLOAD STORES YEARLY CLEAN UP

Important Notice Regarding Digital Store Releases Please be aware that some digital download stores and music platforms, including Beatport, may periodically review their catalogue and remove older releases that have had little or no sales activity for an extended period. These catalogue reviews can take place periodically, and releases that have generated no sales for a significant period—often around 12 months or more—may be considered for removal from the store. Beatport has previously issued communications reminding artists and labels about its catalogue management policies. We recommend continuing to support and promote your releases wherever possible. Regular promotion, sales, streams, and downloads can help maintain visibility and activity around your music. Please note: Store policies can change, so the exact criteria and timeframe may vary between platforms.

Important Update Regarding Apple Music & iTunes Release Classification Please be aware that Apple Music and iTunes have updated their release classification rules. Under Apple's current guidelines, releases containing 1–3 tracks with a total running time of less than 30 minutes are classified as a Single, rather than an EP. While these guidelines have technically existed for some time, the way they have been applied across the digital music industry has varied over the years. Apple is now enforcing the classification more consistently across its platform and distribution network. Therefore, going forward, any release containing 3 tracks with a total running time of under 30 minutes will be classified as a 3-track Single rather than an EP. Please take this into consideration when planning your future releases with DivisionBass Digital Records.

IMPORTANT: Monthly Royalty Report Schedule If you are a DivisionBass Digital Records artist, please see the monthly royalty reporting schedule below. This will help you keep track of when royalty reports are received from our digital stores and distribution partners and when they become available for you to claim. Please note: Royalty reports are not automatically issued. You must submit a request for your royalty report when you wish to receive it. To request a report please email us royalties@divisionbassdigital.com We recommend keeping a record of your requests and checking the schedule regularly to ensure you don't miss any available royalty reporting periods.

In an ongoing effort to ensure the integrity of content on their platforms, many DSPs are updating their review and education processes related to improper activity, including Artificial Streaming. The measures being implemented vary by individual DSP, but primarily are aimed at disincentivizing artificial streaming, as well as imposing penalties on the responsible parties. The intention is to meaningfully deter bad actors that attempt to divert money from honest, hard- working artists like you. Our streaming partners, like Spotify, work diligently to ensure streams on their platforms are legitimate, meaning they reflect genuine user listening intent so that the proper content providers are credited and compensated for their hard work. If a service finds that you directly (or indirectly through a third party hired by you or on your behalf) have boosted play counts through any automated, deceptive, fraudulent or other invalid means (digital bots, “click farms”, payment for placement on playlists, etc.), the service has the right to remove the streams from play counts and royalties, and permanently remove your entire catalog, among other remedies available to DSPs.
